I have watched the "Yenovkians" develop for well over a decade. What strikes me the most? These young ladies are being prepared for life in every sense. They think critically, they explore, and they are naturally inquisitive. Their academics and artistic abilities are obvious to any who interact with them. Each member of the "academy" is unique and specific and powerful in her own right, yet their family bond is unshakable. As a parent, I'm most encouraged by Dee and Melanie's example and diligence. The courage to travel the globe, quite literally, as a part of their program study is exhilarating and inspiring. They are not afraid to be different. Seeking to explore and utilize the variety of experiences that our world so readily provides is a rare opportunity. The Y's choices have empowered their children, and the world will surely be better for them.
The sense of intentionality that Yenovkian Academy immerses their girls with real-world experiences is beyond most university-level programs. Their travel-based learning approach has instilled in their students an awareness of the magnitude and complexity of our world as well as their important place in it.
